But every cloud has a silver lining and what better way to put the usually hectic summer period to use than go on a massive cycle trip across Europe, covering 3500 miles and 14 countries in what turned out to be 80 days.
 

From the outset, I knew it would be an amazing trip and it didn't disappoint.

 

In fact, it has been such an incredible experience that I have decided to continue on from where I left off in Istanbul, travelling in one direction around the world until I eventually end up back home.
